FAMU Founders Day Convocation 2008

Posted by thelense on Friday, October 3, 2008

Today Florida A&M University turned 121 years old. The school celebrates the anniversary of FAMU’s founding each year with a Founders Day Convocation. Now for those of you who don’t attend FAMU, you may not be familiar with what a Convocation is. Essentially a Convocation is like a Pep Rally and a State of the Union Address. Today was a Founders Day Convocation which is a little different because its held in our school Auditorium Lee Hall (where dreams become realities). If anyone knows why its not held in the gym let me know. But the convocation was amazing and really inspiring. Old and New rattlers, politicians, educators, students, and retirees all under the same roof. Definitely a time of FAMunity!
